PS Plus Premium and Extra July 2023 release time and all the games leaving this month Confirmed Xbox Game Pass Core launch titles While Xbox Game Pass Core isn't devoid of some stinkers (here's to you Halo 5: Guardians), the titles in the Core launch batch are far superior to anything Games with Gold has had for a long time. While Games with Gold's two games each month seems like a better deal on paper, the quality of the titles included haven't really been up to par for a long time. Game of the year winning titles like Fallout 4, Doom Eternal, and Psychonauts 2 will be available as a part of the Xbox Game Pass Core lineup at launch, with Microsoft confirming that new titles will be added to the Core library two-to-three times a year (so roughly every four-to-six months). The price for this tier remains the same as Xbox Live Gold at £6.99 / $8.99 / AU$10.95 per month, and existing Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be transferred to the new Xbox Game Pass Core subscription once it launches. In theory, Xbox Game Pass Core is just Xbox Live Gold but instead of getting a monthly Games with Gold selection you'll have unlimited access to a batch of Xbox Game Pass' best titles. Come September 14, 2023, Xbox Live Gold will become Xbox Game Pass Core and – truth be told – not much will really change. Xbox players will soon have to say goodbye to Xbox Live Gold, which carried us through our formative years of being swore at by eight year olds in Call of Duty lobbies. Xbox Game Pass Core is set to be the newest member of the Xbox Game Pass family by replacing Xbox Live Gold in September 2023, and offers a smaller lineup of 'high-quality games'.
